I have a new iPod I won at the company Xmas party. It is way cool. I never would have bought it but now that I have used it I sure would.
So. Anyway. I think I will post my progress with my new hobby...airbrushing. I have always liked drawing and painting but lacked the talent to do it fast enough for me to enjoy it. I bought a cheap airbrush at harbor freight just because I do things like that. When I tried it out I actually impressed myself. It is so intuitive to use and I feel it paints by itself. I have since bought a few more brushes and have become partial to the Iwatas. As with anything there is skill to learn and I have been practicing for about 2 months now. I am my own worst critic but I feel I have improved quite a bit. Still I'm nowhere near the level I would like to be although I am finding the learning process enjoyable.
I want to do fantasy art but for now I'm going to stick with the real. I tend to paint female better than male so, also for now, I'm painting girls.
Hair turned out to be much harder to paint than I expected. I have learned now to treat it as a single form and paint the shadows and shapes not the individual hairs.
Using a Iwata Eclipse HP-CS and Com-Art transparent paint.
